About Horticulture

Horticulture is the cultivation of plants for various purposes. This broad domain of agricultural practice involves the planning, production, maintenance, and distribution of many types of plant products such as flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, and medicinal and aromatic plants using various scientific methods and technologies. Effective production and management processes in Horticulture are crucial for providing food products, improving soil fertility, and the conservation of our environment by implementing sustainable practices. In recent years, people have realized the need to implement modern technologies in the plant cultivation process to increase the yield and save money and time. This has created a demand for skilled professionals who possess expertise in the field of horticulture that can guide them in using these procedures. A B.Voc in Horticulture is a 3-year UGC-certified course that helps students acquire these essential skills and knowledge in a practical learning environment.
